TSI Oscillator

TSI Oscillator:
The True Strength Index (TSI) is a momentum oscillator that measures trend strength via double-smoothed price changes, oscillating between -100 and +100 (typically -25 to +25). It filters noise better than RSI using EMAs. In the screenshot (TradingView, Sep 22, 2025), it's part of "Momentum Concepts Pro v1.0," showing candlesticks (~661-665 USD) above, with TSI lines below: white (fast TSI), yellow (signal), red zero line, and green (histogram/Z-score) for extremes.
How to Use the TSI Oscillator
Components
White Line: Fast TSI for momentum direction.
Yellow Line: Slow signal for confirmation.
Red Zero Line: Bullish above, bearish below.
Green Line/Zones: Overbought (red, ~2.0) vs. oversold (green, ~-2.0).
Setup on TradingView
Add "Momentum Concepts Pro" or standard TSI.
Defaults: 25/13 EMAs; adjust for timeframe (e.g., intraday like screenshot's 10-min candles).
Key Signals
Centerline Cross: Above zero = bullish bias; below = bearish.
Signal Cross: White over yellow = buy (esp. above zero); white under = sell.
Zones: +25 overbought (sell warning); -25 oversold (buy potential). Watch hooks/reversals.
Divergences: Price vs. TSI mismatches signal reversals.
Strategies
Trend Follow: Buy on bullish crosses in uptrends; short in downtrends.
Reversals: Long from oversold hooks; short from overbought.
Exits: At opposite zones or reverse signals; use stops at swings/EMAs.
Avoid choppy flats around zero; combine with price structure. Backtest before trading.
